reminder on the next few GymFest practices

Please refer to the previous blog entry for rehearsal on 30 Nov. 

Reminder on the following dates for our practices at Jurong SAFRA: 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28 Nov. Practice time 8.30am-12.30pm. It's vital for all participants to attend.   

Bus will leave KRC Meeting Point at 8am. Practice will end at 12.30pm. Bus will reach Meeting Point at about 1pm. All GymFest participants,  which include ​Wushu pupils and Gym pupils, will take the same bus.  ​If your child is not taking the school bus, do alert me via email.

Cost of the costumes has not been finalised. The school will co-pay an amount and the rest will be paid by parents. An estimate will be between $70 to $100.

Please let me know if you want me to help purchase tickets for supporters. It's $5 for an adult ticket and $2 for a child. I also appeal for parents to help in the make up and hairdo on the actual day.

Final rehearsal for GymFest in the morning of 30 Nov

Please note that the final rehearsal for GymFest will take place on Sunday 30^th morning: 9am to 12noon.  Further details will follow.
The actual performance will be on Sunday 30th afternoon. The line up of event has yet to finalize. Please keep the morning of 30 Nov free for the final on-site rehearsal. 
Besides, we need parent volunteers to help with the make-up and hairdo for the pupils on the actual day. Please let me know if you are able to help. Parent volunteers will not need to pay for the entrance ticket.

reminder: GymFest practice resumes

Dear parents,

A gentle reminder that our practice for GymFest resumes this Thursday and Friday. Please remind your child to attend the practice sessions as many of them may have forgotten the steps after the long exam break.

Some of the pupils have taken their measurements for their costumes. For the rest,  Miss Mae Yang will fix another timeslot for the tailor to come down to take measurement. I’ll let you know the date once I have it.

I’ll also be collating and buying in bulk the GymFest tickets at a lower price. An adult ticket is $5 and Child is $2.  Please let me know the number of tickets you need. Participants do not pay for the entrance ticket, parents and supporters do.

P4-6 pupils update on JAA file

This year, some of our gymnasts did community work on 21, 24, 25 July. They cleaned the gymnasium after their training sessions on these three days. It will be recorded as 1 hour under Community Service CCA-VIA. If the child did not help the clean the gymnasium for ALL the three days, it should be recorded as 1/2 hour instead. If the child did not attend training during those three days indicated, it should not be recorded in the JAA file at all.

Please note that training on Mondays only applies to boys, training on Tuesdays only applies to girls.
On days which involve Gym Fest, those boys and girls not involved will train as per normal at BazGym.

Training during the September holidays

There will be training for girls on Tuesday (9 Sept) at Nanyang Girls' High School from 9am to 12noon. Girls will have to make their own transport arrangement to the gymnasium.

There is no training for the boys as the holiday week coincides with BazGym's annual 1-week break.

For all boys and girls involved in Gym Fest, there will be Gym Fest practice on Thursday and Friday (11 & 12 Sept) from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm at BazGym. It's located at Jurong SAFRA.
There is transport provided from King's Road Campus at 7.45am. All pupils to meet at the Meeting Point.  佘老师 will accompany pupils on the bus on Thursday and Mrs Tam will be there on Friday. By the time pupils reach school after the practice will be 1 pm. Please pick your child up from the Meeting Point.
If parents prefer to make your own arrangement to and from BazGym, you may. Please email Mrs Tam at tam-wong_ting_ting@nyps.edu.sg to inform her.
Attendance is compulsory as this is the time when the dance instructor wants to consolidate all pupils' movements, including the Wu Shu pupils and those ex-pupils who will be joining us.
