2020 training schedule

Dear all,
The link to our 2020 training schedule is here:
https://sites.google.com/moe.edu.sg/nyps-cca-asep/sports-and-games/artistic-gymnastics
I'll not use this blog eventually in 2020 as the school wants all CCAs to use the same platform for information.
For training dates, it'll be the above link. For information, it'll be Parents Gateway.
We start training next week: 23/12, 24/12, 26/12 and 27/12 from 9am till 12noon.

Meanwhile, have a blessed Christmas and a very happy New Year!

Stipulate training days in 2020

Dear parents,
As we will be taking CCA attendance online next year, I need you to stipulate the specific days of your child’s training next year. Once stipulated, your child has to attend training on that day, failing which will be considered as absent. Attendance rate needs to be at least 80% for the whole year. Pupils need to commit to one day of training, a specific day.
However, due to competition demands, gymnasts participating in the competition need to train at least twice a week (at least once a week for 2 hours for gymnasts who have external private training). Thus for the second / third training day(s), it can be more flexible; i.e. one fixed day (to attribute to attendance rate) plus another day(s).
I’m informing you earlier now so that you can plan for next year’s schedule.
This attendance system will be carried out and standardised for all CCAs.
Thank you.

Reminder for boys: Mondays and Thursdays - for P3 to P6 boys.
Tuesdays - for P1 and P2 boys
Fridays - for all P1 to P6 boys

Use of Parents Gateway (PG) from 2020

Dear parents,
This blog will be closed from next year January. I not be using this platform for communication as the school is standardising on the use of Parents Gateway (PG) for all.
Please download PG for all school’s notification including CCA.
On a separate note, for gymnasts who train in private clubs, there’s a new school rule from next year  that every one will need to train in school for at least once a week to be able to be in the school team, representing the school for competitions.

post 2019 NSG Gymnastics - update with more pic

Thank you parents, Coach Feng, Coach Xu, Coach Jacky, Coach Dosmond and all the teachers in charge for the hard work in this year's NSG! Without your help, our gymnasts would not be able to perform in this competition. It really takes a village to raise a child, what more a gymnast. It's indeed an achievement to win medals among hundreds of gymnasts. For those who did not win, there's always next year!  I hope gymnasts have gained more experience through this competition to be more mindful on how to improve physically and mentally and have become more self-disciplined. I also hope that they had enjoyed themselves.

Besides the routine training, thank you parents for helping out in make-up and hairdo for the girls and arranging transport to and from Bishan Sport Hall. Some parents also helped to get extra food for the teachers on Wednesday as theirs had gone to the stomachs of hungry gymnasts (I should order more in future!). Thanks to Michelle's mother for helping to take photos during the prize-giving ceremony. Thanks to Carrie's mother for sharing the photos and videos taken during the competition.
