Meeting time on Sat at 9am on Sat for performers (Gym Fest)

After last night's meeting, we were informed that the meeting time for participants on Saturday has to be 9am as they need to rehearse for all the contingents, which involves near 600 participants.
The Opening is from 2 pm to 4 pm. Break for lunch and make up is 11 am to 1pm.
For Sunday, I've sought SG personnel's understanding that it's too long hours for our girls to stay for the Night Gala, so we are excused. However, all participants are highly encouraged to stay on to watch if they can.  


 

update on Asian Gymnaestrada

I've just received an email stating that all participants will need to be present for the Opening Ceremony and the Gala Performance on top of our performance item. So, a breakdown on the details as below:

2 Nov Sat, 2 pm - 3.30 pm: Opening Ceremony (which all participants will need to march in for the ceremony) Lunch will be provided for this day. I've yet to get confirmation on the time we need to report. My estimation is about 12pm. There are performances from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm. However, if parents have other commitments, I think parents have the right to pick your child up after 3.30 pm. Please inform me on that day.

3 Nov Sun, 2 pm - 4 pm: Our performance slot. Lunch provided. Again, I estimated that we should meet at the venue at about 12 pm. Our item number is #25. I'm attending another meeting on Thursday evening to iron out the exact meeting venue and  time. I'll inform all via this blog and when I see the girls on Friday's practice.
3 Nov Sun, 7 pm - 8.30 pm: Gala Performance.  There is a 3-hour break with dinner provided before the start of Gala Performance. Many of our girls are young, and parents may not be able to accommodate to this timing. Do provide feedback to me so that I can forward to SG about it on Thursday's meeting.

4th Asian Gymnaestrada

For pupils who are involved in the 4th Asian Gymnaestrada (Gym Fest), please note the following:
We will be going to train at NYGH as we need their mats for practice due to the addition of Joelle and Zen who volunteered to join in. They will do some tumbling which require mats. I've catered for bus from King's Road to NYGH. Parents can fetch the girls back from NYGH at 5pm. Please do email me
(at tam-wong_ting_ting@nyps.edu.sg)  if any child needs to go back to King's Road.

There is a rehearsal on 1 Nov (Friday) from 4-30pm to 5.15pm. We will have practice in King's Road from 2-4pm. Afterwhich, I'll take the girls over to Bishan for rehearsal and the school bus will ferry them back to King's Road by 5.40pm.
Practice at NYGH on 29 Nov (Tuesday) and 31 Nov (Thursday), from 2 pm to 5 pm.

4th Asian Gymnaestrada (i.e. Gym Fest) - amendments

A group of our gymnasts is taking part in the 4th Asian Gymnaestrada on 2 November 2013 at Bishan Sports Hall.
They have been practicing hard for the performance. There are many other countries taking part in the event. If any of our gymnast is interested to support us on that day, please email me to get tickets. I have ordered some tickets on a first come first serve basis.

Information for Participants:
Practice sessions on 29, 31 October and 1 November. Time: 2-5pm. Venue: NYPS, King's Road hall. Please obtain consent forms from Mrs Tam (KRC) or Mdm Soh (TTC).
Parents of participants, if you are attending this event, you need to purchase the ticket online via the link above. Online price is cheaper than door price. I can only purchase tickets for pupils.

I'm collating results for the Singapore Open Gymnastics Championships held from 7 to 9 June, 2013.
Besides the Jean, Ashley, Athena, Chloe and Rachel, please alert me as soon as possible if you've taken part in the above competition.

training schedule in term 4

Gymnastics School Team Training

Below are the training dates of the Gymnastics school team for Term 4, 2013.  

Boys’ trainings will be on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Girls’ will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Transport arrangement will be the same as Term 1 & 2.

For pupils who are involved in the 4th Asian Gymnaestrada 2013 on 2 November, there will be additional practice sessions during the CCA suspended period. Consent forms will be issued to gymnasts involved. I'll check on the ticket price for spectators who are interested to attend. Other gymnasts who are not involved this year are encouraged to attend. Sept Holiday training for girls

There will be training during this Sept holidays.
Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Time: 9 am - 12 pm
Venue: NYGH
Transport will not be provided from NYPS. Parents are to arrange for individual transport.

Boys' training will resume in Term 4 Week 1.
