purchase leotard for Prize Giving Ceremony performance

Dear parents,
Girls who are taking part in the performance for the Prize Giving Ceremony on 17 Nov in school will need to purchase a pink sleeveless leotard. It is the same leotard as the one used for last year's GymFest in Nov 2016, as seen below:



It cost about $30 after delivery charge and exchange rate. Girls who bought it last year need not purchase again if they can still wear it. This design shall be our school's performance leotard and also training leotard. I shall purchase in bulk for all girls who need it (to get a cheaper delivery charge) and get the teachers in charge to collect money from individual girl.

For boy participants, they will wear the blue competition leotard and white shorts. For boys who do not have it, they will need to purchase too. It'll cost more as it's used for competition as well. I'll individually inform the boys involved.

WAG & MAG Selection by Singapore Gymnastics

Some parents may find our sch training has too much disruptions due to the suspension of CCA reflected in the school calendar. A good way to supplement the school training is to join the SG stable if the gymnast goes for and is eligible to be selected to be trained under SG. The chance is here:

Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is conducting a talent identification selection trial for our National Training Centre Men’s (MAG) and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Programs, in hope of identifying talented children who have the potential to represent Singapore at major games (South East Asian Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games etc) and championships in the future. Students will be put through a series of testing stations conducted by the National Coaches and/or SG staff for us to have an understanding of each child’s aptitude and current abilities in gymnastics. The stations will only be revealed on the day of the selection trials. This selection trial is suitable for any boys and/or girls, 7 years old and up (WAG), 7 -9 years old (MAG). It is NOT necessary to have background in the sport to be eligible for this selections.

 Attire & Safety
 a) All Accessories and jewelry such as belts, watches, necklaces, and bracelets should be removed before the start of the session All toe and hand nails should be kept short Unsupervised use of any gymnastics equipment is not permitted at all times Parents are requested to avoid communication with their child while the selection trial is in session
 b) Boys T-shirt and shorts. T-shirt should be neatly tucked in
 c) Girls A gymnastics leotard is preferred. Alternatively t-shirt and shorts / legging will suffice. T-shirt should be neatly tucked in All long hair should be neatly tied away from the child’s face.

Please note that training on 23 Nov is cancelled.
In addition, gymnasts will resume training on the last week of Dec holidays on 26/12, 28/12 and 29/12.
